Very interesting, although it seems like this is gamete leakage rather than
spawning. I know Mann et al. hypothesized that spawning occurred after
dark (midnight) at the Dry Tortugas from sound production and vertical
movements. Have you done any egg sampling to determine when mass gamete
release is taking place at this location?
