Everybody in the Lesser Antilles remember the washing ashore of Sargassum
in 2011 that caused many problems on exposed beaches in our islands.
At this time I have been in touch with the Optical Oceanography Laboratory
at the University of South Florida, esêcially Dr Chuanmin Hu, who developed
an enhanced floating algae index to detect Sargassum in particular.
