Today I went back out to the same bridge (Niles Channel) where I saw all
the dead and dying cowries recently. I only managed to find one that was
still alive--just barely. There were others that were dead with the decomposing
animal still inside.

I saved the one live one and one dead one (in formalin) in separate jars
for Don Behringer. They are on the dock next to my boat. [...]
