Yes, I well remember the washing up of sargassum on Lesser Antilles beaches in 2011. In fact, in 2012 I gave a presentation at GCFI on that difficult event. I am working with my colleague oceanographer Dr. Donald Johnson on the 2011 event…he also gave a GCFI presentation on this massive event from an oceanographic perspective.
