I must admit that my first reaction to this report was the same as Jerry’s and Dr Roffer’s. However, a quick read left me feeling that this is a pretty balanced document which summarises the current state of knowledge of ocean ecosystem processes and their role in global carbon cycles while noting the need for a greater understanding of these processes and the incorporation of this oft-ignored information into climate modelling.
