Has venomous spines and is invasive on coral reefs.
It has been known to reduce the small fish population of a reef by 79%.
The probability of overfishing Grouper fish has probably helped its numbers to increase.
This fish is now recommended for human consumption when filleted in an attempt to keep down its numbers.
