it's a shame that these lion fish are so bad for the environment.....I think they are rather pretty.
An indigenous species of Pacific waters, now it is menacing the coral reefs in the Atlantic.
They are highly poisonous, and will eat anything, and multiply at an alarming rate.
They can wipe out the local species in no time flat, because the Atlantic species aren't hard wired to know to avoid this menace.
Scientists have done genetic studies on these new invaders, and found that they all come from a handful of fish that some Florida residents decides to throw back into the wild. Just ONE more way we have managed to screw up the Eco system!
