Caribbean Sargassum Influx - Updated GCFI Fact Sheet Online
July 13, 2015. The Gulf and Caribbean Fisheries Institute has updated the
fact sheet about the sargassum influx which we first shared in April, 2015.
It now includes further information on management strategies and on the
smell associated with decomposition.
Through this update, GCFI seeks to respond to coastal managers' need for
information on this topic and to promote the adoption of best management
practices. The 4-page fact sheet addresses some of the questions that we're
frequently being asked by GCFI members. [...]
